We augmented the DESIGN WEEK staff’s capacity on internal and external communications. This included writing a series of blog posts to highlight events and participants, assisting with social media content and deployment, and assembling a social media guide for participants and attendees.

Media Coverage:

Examples of blog posts:

Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy

We worked with DPPC staff behind the scenes to refocus their messaging and organizational narrative to better communicate what the organization does and why it’s important. We also assisted in the development of several grant narratives and an op-ed piece, and did PR work for several events and program announcements, including a successful press conference with Governor Raimondo and executives from Hasbro.

Elorza for Mayor

As Communications Director, Tabs was responsible for all internal and external communications during the Democratic primary campaign, including media relations, web and social media management, and developing the campaign’s overall communications strategy. He also worked with staff and volunteers to develop a variety of policy proposals, for which he was the primary writer.

Policy Proposals:

Higher Ground International

We helped the organization create a new narrative for itself that more clearly defined its mission and vision, and built a new website. We also provided event support and PR work for the grand opening of its new headquarters, worked with staff and volunteers to develop grant proposals, and assisted in the writing and placement of an op-ed piece.

The Helen Hudson Foundation for Homeless America

We helped this small, family-run foundation communicate its work publicly for the first time. This involved developing an organizational narrative and history, and designing/launching a website and social media pages.

Hope Street Merchants Association

Tabs provided all PR and communications needs for Off Grid on Hope, the HSMA’s project to install solar-powered street lamps on Hope Street. This included PR, writing grant proposals, and creating a sponsorship deck and other informational materials.

Web Content & Facebook Events:

Keeping  History Above Water

Tabs provided additional capacity for the Newport Restoration Foundation’s communications team as it launched this groundbreaking international conference on sea level rise and historic preservation. This included writing a series of blog posts to highlight events and themes, creating an internal email campaign to inform and drive online conversation among participants, assisting with PR needs, and developing content for the program guide.

Blog Posts/Press Releases & Collateral:
